| Summer Vacation by the lake Kinap Day Camp is a wonderful place to spend the summer. Children in the day camp enjoy the wonders of a summer vacation, playing on the beach, boating, doing crafts, reading, being with their friends, and creating lasting friendships. Day campers benefit from the unstructured independent, yet supervised play. There are organized events throughout the day but children are free to participate. There is day camp staff stationed inside and outside the building supervising and playing with the children. During open boating, the day campers are invited to take out kayaks and paddle around the cove, under the supervision of a paddling coach. Day campers may also register for swimming lessons through HRM www.halifax.ca/recreation or 490-6666. Kinap Staff will ensure that day campers attend their swimming lessons. The day camp runs Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm.Parents must register their child(ren) weekly for day camp. You must confirm your child(ren)'s space in the day camp by completing the attendance form and providing a post dated cheque. Kinap Day Camp has a 10:1 ratio and our staffs have up to date first aid. Day camp rates include sunscreen and bug spray. We ask that you complete a separate sunscreen authorization form. Anyone arriving after 6:00 pick up will be charged an additional $10.00 for every 15 minutes. Day Camp Rates Day Camp Kit List Please download:-
