The Kinap Athletic Club is a non-profit corporation managed by volunteers, and local community members. Kinap offers Sprint Canoe Kayak Paddling and Daycamp for the summer months July and August. The paddling is both recreational and competitive; and our Daycamp has a variety of summer activities as well as unstructured playtime for up to 40 children ages 5-12 years of age.
Kinap Day Camp is an excellent spot to spend the summer. Children in the day camp enjoy the wonders of a summer vacation, playing on the beach, boating, doing crafts, reading, begin with their friends, and creating lasting friendships.
- Child-Day Camp Counsellor Ratio (10 - 1)
- Ages 5 to 12 Years
- Paddling program offerrs low ratio of coach to kids, working under guidelines from Atlantic Division Canoe Kayak Canada. The daily schedule for paddling is scheduled to consider both ages of paddlers and the HRM swim lessons that are offered. A great program for hockey and lacross players in the off season and they still have fun while training.
